Here is a brief bio:
Fashion design and teaching are my two biggest passions. I've been doing both for over 10 years in New York and now in LA.  I previously worked for Elie Tahari as a fabric buyer.  I have an independent self named line specializing in unique accessories and custom designs.

If you are interested, please send me your ideal lesson days/times and your sewing history, if any.

Looking forward to teaching you!

Using Upholstery Fabrics for Bags, Totes, and Pouches

After a long garment project, there are days when I just want to take a break and work on easier quick projects while still getting time with the sewing machine.  This is when a bag project is perfect!  I can finish these within an hour or less and still feel accomplished by the end of the day.

My favorite fabrics to use for these bags, pouches, and totes are upholstery fabrics.  Yes, upholstery, not fashion fabrics!!!  Generally they are not only thicker, but also much wider, so you get more bang for your buck while also having a more durable product.

I've included images of my latest inventory of gorgeous upholstery fabric that are now for sale on my etsy shop.

Happy Sewing!
